Press fittings can be processed with any standard press tool that delivers a constant thrust force in the range of 30 to 40 kN. Examples include Mapress ECO1, Roller Uni-Press 2000, Ridgid RP 10-B/S, Virax Viper P20+, Holger Clasen APH, Klauke UAP2, Viega PT2, Novopress EFP 2, Rems Akku Press, and Rothenberger Romax AC Eco. The fittings themselves are made of high-strength, forged, tempered steel with a blue zinc-plated or black phosphated finish.

Their long service life results from the additional hardening of the press profile and the roller entry chamfer.
