A washer according to DIN 9021, Form A is a wide washer (also known as a body washer or fender washer) with a particularly large outer diameter relative to the inner diameter. Form A indicates the version without a chamfer (beveled edge).

The essential characteristics of the DIN 9021 Form A wide washer are:

• Large outer diameter: This is approximately three times the nominal diameter of the screw. This is the main distinguishing feature compared to the DIN 125 washer.
• Form A: Flat design without chamfer (not beveled).
